Two Edmonton men charged after thefts from vehicles and construction site in St. Albert

RCMP report there is an "unfolding event" happening in the North West quadrant of the city. The RCMP are asking residents to avoid the area.

Two Edmonton residents are facing numerous charges after a series of thefts from vehicles and a construction site in several St. Albert neighbourhoods over the weekend.

On April 13, St. Albert RCMP received multiple calls reporting property thefts in  Grandin, Erin Ridge, Northridge, and Jensen Lakes. Investigators say items including electronics, construction tools, personal identification and credit cards were stolen.

Police later located a stolen vehicle parked outside a local motel. The vehicle matched one seen in surveillance footage from one of the theft locations. Officers arrested two individuals at the motel as part of their investigation.

Brady Joseph Ford, 25, of Edmonton has been charged with:

  • Failing to comply with a release order (x2)

  • Theft of credit card (x3)

  • Possession of property obtained by crime (x7)

  • Possession of break-in tools

  • Mischief

  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

  • Theft

Conor Lee Briscoe, 41, also of Edmonton, is charged with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime (x6)

  • Possession of break-in tools

  • Theft

  • Mischief

Ford was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Barrhead on April 16. Briscoe was released and is expected to appear in St. Albert court on May 5.

St. Albert RCMP continue to investigate the incidents.
